Our Approach and Solution.

We started where most consulting firms begin, with a single signature service suite: grant writing and management. Over time, we noticed the same patterns and challenges emerging across communities and clients, revealing deeper needs beyond funding for sustainability.  Read the journey below.

Grant Writing  +Assessing Readiness

The Gap We Identified: Organizations were requesting us to write grants for programs they weren't prepared to execute.

Our Solution: We created readiness assessments to help organizations determine the capacity they needed to build BEFORE seeking funding.

Assessing Readiness +Strategy Design

The Gap We Identified: Even when organizations were prepared, they still lacked viable strategies. They had ideas, but ideas alone aren't strategies.

Our Solution: We began assisting clients in designing their strategy BEFORE writing grants. We developed the funding framework to align their vision with funder priorities and identify outcomes.

Strategy Design + Program Development

The Gap We Identified: Having a grant strategy on paper doesn't guarantee successful implementation. Organizations lacked the frameworks, systems, and structures needed to turn strategy into actionable programs.

Our Solution: We began designing the program's work plans and evaluation frameworks, and implementation timelines to ensure teams had a clear roadmap from launch to sustainability.

Program Development + Capacity Building

The Gap We Identified: Organizations and community leaders sought to build their own capacity, rather than relying on consultants.

Our Solution: We began training teams, sharing our methods, and creating reusable resources. This planted the foundation for 410 University.

Capacity Building + Vision Ideation Studio

The Gap We Identified: Leaders and founders had bold visions but lacked the structure to turn ideas into fundable, actionable strategies.

Our Solution: We created the 410 Vision Design Lab, a dedicated space where ideas are refined and shaped into strategies with actionable, realistic implementation plans.

The Comprehensive Solution: Three Division Model

Today, we serve the full continuum of community change from ideation (Vision LAB) to implementation (Consulting Services) to capacity building (410 University).
